After a late start (7am!), and a nice breakfast at the Doubletree Hilton we set off for our drive to Golden. The plan was to break it up with a couple of stops en route. The first stop was for a quick nappy change and potty stop but happened to be by beautiful Shuswap lake. Ava had a paddle which ended up with her with completely soaked as is usual with Ava, (she doesn’t do things by halves). But the sun was shining so we didn’t mind. Set off again and the scenery just got better. Snow capped mountains on all sides, lakes and beautiful forests with lovely light and dark green ash trees and to top it all the blue sky and sunshine. Our next stop was Revelstoke for some lunch. We went to a little bakery which happened to cater especially well for allergies so Ava was very happy to have a dairy free chocolate brownie. We were very lucky not to have our car towed while we were there. David nipped back to get the nappy bag and a truck was just about to tow our car away! We left Revelstoke and
