Seattle Zoo then Canada here we come!

Another early start and a quick swim before getting the local bus to Woodland Park zoo.

The bus driver kept us right by telling us when to get off, the people have been so friendly since we arrived. It took about 25 minutes to get there and both Tom and Ava fell asleep on the bus. The zoo was fantastic loads to see and do and very well laid out. There was a little petting farm and Ava stroked some goats which was very brave for her!

We saw giraffes, hippos but my favourite was the brown bears. One of them was having a swim right next to the viewing window and he was having great fun splashing round and shaking all the water off his fur. We had a nice lunch and Ava met two little girls who brought out a big bag of princess Magiclips, Ava’s eyes nearly popped out of her head.

Lunchtime at the zoo

We left the zoo and headed back to the hotel to get the train to Vancouver, at least we thought we were getting the train until David went to check us in and realised he had booked us on a train to Vancouver, Washington not Vancouver, British Columbia! Luckily there was a bus right outside that was going to the right Vancouver so we got on that and headed off to our next country! Canadian customs was very quick and they were very polite. Arrived at the bus/train station and got a taxi straight to the Times Square suites where we were staying for the next few days. It was great as it had a separate bedroom and a little sitting room with a kitchenette and a dining table, which was great for feeding the kids breakfast. The apartment was right on xxx street, which was full of restaurants and cafes so David went out for takeaway pizza so we could get the kids straight to bed after another long and busy day.
