On Sunday we had two very excited Snow White’s, Ava and Molly. We set off early on the road to Glasgow. A long way to go to see Disney princesses some might say, but these two are obsessed!
Got there in good time after a short stop at Gretna Green. The show was on at the SSE Hydro which was a lovely venue with great parking facilities attached by a walk way straight into the front door.
I have never seen so many children dressed up as Anna, Elsa and the other princesses.
The queues for the mechanise stalls were huge, as were the prices. £15 for a light up flashing wand! The girls picked a Rapunzel doll each, which seemed better value despite being £23, courtesy of Nanna. We went into the auditorium and found our seats. They were very comfortable and everyone had great views.
The show started and the kids were all brilliant, even Tom who at only 5 months old must have been the youngest person there. They were completely enthralled. The skating was fantastic with lovely costumes and music. They did a short scene from some of the films Little mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Rapunzel and of course Frozen which the girls loved. They were a little disappointed that Cinderella and Snow White didn’t make an appearance but they still loved it.
As we left the show Molly my niece said, Auntie Nicola can we go see the princesses skating again? So I’m sure we’ll be back again but hopefully next time the show will be on Newcastle and we won’t need to drive so far!
