Living North Exhibition

After a lovely morning at baby yoga with Tom, including a short stop to see the partial solar eclipse.

It was off to the Living North exhibition at Newcastle Racecourse. I bought tickets a couple of weeks ago from Living Social for £7 for entry for two people, which wasn’t too bad. I think it was £7 each on the door.

The exhibitors were spread out over three floors inside and a couple of marquees outside with the food stalls in. The food stalls were definitely the busiest, especially the ones with free tastings. We tried some delicious sausages and chilli pork pies. There were lots of jams and chutneys to taste and some lovely little cake stalls too. Upstairs there was a really nice bag stall with an offer on to get a free purse so I treated myself to a new flight bag ahead of our trip to Cannes next week. The home and garden section was lovely too and if you had a bit of money to spend you could get some beautiful items.

We had a quick stop for a drink and to eat one of the delicious chilli and chorizo pork pies that we’d bought from one of the stalls.

It was pretty busy but I’ve been on a weekend before and it’s been a struggle to walk around so coming on a Friday is definitely the best option. I’ll maybe try and leave the pram at home next year although Tom slept the whole way round and was a little angel.

The last stop was to get a box of cupcakes to take home and a packet of Eccles cakes for the hubby then we were off home. I think the ticket price is a little steep considering you don’t get anything cheaper when you get inside but with the Living Social voucher it wasn’t too bad and it is a nice way to spend a couple of hours.
